I built a successful career as a Chartered Surveyor in the City of London, a path I believed I’d follow for life. Then last year everything changed.

After returning to work from maternity leave, I was quickly drawn back into the long hours, relentless emails and constant pressure. I was running myself ragged trying to keep everything afloat at work and at home. I felt exhausted. I might’ve been physically present for my daughter, but mentally, I was elsewhere. I knew she deserved more but most days, I was just surviving. Deep down, I realised I wasn’t truly living. I was drained, overwhelmed and watching life slip by.

In just a few short months I was burnt out and became ill. That short time off work was all it took for me to feel the fear of spending 20 years stuck in the same cycle. I knew I had to rebalance my time and priorities before it was too late.

Now not only am I building a business I love, I’ve reclaimed my energy and I’ve remembered what it feels like to enjoy life again!
